The SEPA standard unifies the way in which transfers and direct debits are made to gain in speed, simplicity, security and efficiency. From now on, our bank account will no longer be identified by the classic 20-digit code, but by the IBAN.

If you want to know the IBAN of your account, you can do it from the Bankinter application or by accessing bankinter.com.  From there you will be able to access the IBAN of your Bankinter account and select it to be able to share it.

Un IBAN, o número de cuenta bancaria internacional, es un sistema de numeración internacional estándar desarrollado para identificar una cuenta bancaria en el extranjero. El número comienza con un código de país de dos dígitos, luego dos números, seguidos de varios caracteres alfanuméricos más. Tenga en cuenta que el IBAN no sustituye a la numeración de la cuenta de un banco, ya que sólo pretende proporcionar información adicional que ayude a identificar los pagos en el extranjero.

El número IBAN se compone de un código de país de dos letras, seguido de dos dígitos de control y hasta treinta y cinco caracteres alfanuméricos. Estos caracteres alfanuméricos se conocen como número básico de cuenta bancaria (BBAN).
