Excursions near madrid

Rural lodgings are predominant in the surroundings of the Riaza river gorges. We spent the night in the Soria town of Castillejo de Robledo, which we will talk about later. It is only twenty minutes by car from Montejo de la Vega de la Serrezuela and fifteen minutes from Maderuelo, one of the essential visits to make in the Riaza river gorges. We chose the rural hotel La Sabina, a simple family accommodation where we enjoyed a fantastic stay. Irene, the owner, made sure that everything was to our liking and provided us with complete information about the area. The hotel has a restaurant where you can taste typical dishes of the area. Special mention should be made of the roast lamb that Irene prepared for us, washed down with a bottle of Silentium wine. This winery is located in Castillejo de Robledo and belongs to the DO Ribera del Duero.

A weekend is enough to make a tour of everything to see in the Riaza River Sickles, mixing routes through its unique landscape and visits to the charming towns in the surrounding area.
